Dinner Cruise on the Grand Pearl



Depart from River City (Pier No. 1) at 19:30 hrs on Grand Pearl. The 3-level vessel can accommodate up to 300 persons. Cruise along the Chao Phraya River amid the romantic atmosphere and experience exotic Bangkok by night. The interior is nicely decorated and the boat is well-equipped with modern facilities. There are separate restrooms for male and female guests. The seating inside is quite spacious compared to other dinner cruise companies. Dine in cool air-conditioned room with live entertainment while enjoying a nice selection of international buffet on board. There is enough seating set up outside for those who like to dine al-fresco. Folding chairs and tables are installed along the passage around the boat so passengers won’t have any trouble finding a place to enjoy their meal. The crew is friendly and attentive. Along the route are interesting places such as the Grand Palace, the Temple of Dawn, and several famous bridges including the newly built Rama VIII brige, designed by the present King of Thailand. After the meal, guests may then move to the spacious upper deck to relax under the moonlight or admire Bangkok’s stunning nighttime sights. The boat returns to the River City shopping complex pier at about 21:30hrs.

Calypso Cabaret Show

Train tour to Mahachai



This tour will bring you to one of the least visited fishing villages of Thailand. The train starts in a highly populated part of Bangkok across the mighty Chao Phraya River. When the train leaves, you almost drive through the kitchens and living rooms of the local people. On the way, you will see the big buildings of Bangkok become smaller and smaller until you are surrounded by rice fields and houses on stilts. The tour starts with a transfer to Wongwian Yai Railway Station at the Thonburi side of Bangkok across the Chao Praya River. The local station is situated in the middle of the Wongwian Yai market and offers a great experience and insight into local Thai lifestyle. Board non-air-conditioned train carriages and enjoy a scenic train journey to Mahachai, the largest fresh seafood market in Thailand. A weird and wonderful variety of local produce is sold here. Extensive visit of Mahachai Market followed by a Thai lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the crowded fish market.After lunch, we will board a small boat for a scenic trip along the river. You will get an excellent view on the Thai fisherman’s craft. We will pass fishing boats of all sorts of size and colors sailing into the small harbor. These ships enter the harbor from the Gulf of Thailand loaded with fish. Along a small canal, you will see how these fishermen live and work, passing their homes and small shipyards. In the afternoon, we will return to Mahachai Market and board the train back to Wongwian Yai in Bangkok where we will arrive at approx. 16.00 hrs. Transfer back to your hotel in town by van.

Tha Kha Floating Market & Ampawa



This day trip will bring you to places rarely visited by foreign tourists. An early start from Bangkok to see the unique fresh market along the railway tracks in Mae Klong. When the train approaches the station, watch the vendors dismantling their stalls, so that the train can pass through. A 30-minutes drive brings you to Tha Kha. Step back in time to see a traditional floating market, which takes places on only on weekends (SAT/SUN) and on specia days, depending on the phase of the moon. Enjoy the delightful display of exotic fruit and vegetables and local delecacies sold mostly by elderly women folk in their small rowing boats. We will take you on a tour of the canals in row boats (4 persons per boat) and visit a local family’s home to see, how palm sugar is produced. Continue by van to Amphawa, a picturesque little town located on the Maeklong River. We will first visit the Benjarong House and Museum, where you will also have the opportunity to watch the skilled artisans painting the delicate china ware with intricate designs. After lunch at Baan Ampawa Resort, embark on a boat trip in a motorized long-tail boat to explore the numerous canals and observe traditional Thai way of living along Thailand’s waterways. Visit Wat Bang Kung, built during the Ayudhaya period (more than 200 years ago). This interesting temple is completely embraced by the roots of a huge Banyan Tree. Take a stroll along Amphawa's main canal, where on weekends a lively market selling mostly home-made food and pastries, takes place. Transfer back to your hotel in Bangkok.

For those wanting to explore and experience true Thai river life style, we highly recommend a visit to Ampawa. Just about 80 kilometers south of Bangkok, Ampawa district enchants visitors with traditional wooden Thai houses built along canals, coconut and fruit orchards and rural life style. Visit a family’s home to observe the production of palm sugar. Disembark at Baan Ampawa Resort for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Pinsuwan Benjarong House and Museum, where you have the opportunity to watch the skilled artisans painting the delicate china ware with intricate designs. Take a stroll along Amphawa's main canal with its lovingly restored wooden shop houses, many of them converted to small coffee shops, restaurants and souvenir shops selling local products. On weekends, this area is extremely busy with Bangkokians flocking to Ampawa to enjoy the weekend food market along the canal. Transfer back to your hotel in Bangkok. Sunday departures: We will visit Pinsuwan Benjarong House & Museum before embarking on the boat trip, because the workshop is closed in the afternoon.

Khao Yai National Park



Early morning, pick up at your hotel and drive towards Khao Yai National Park. Our first stop will be at a local market, where many kinds of fruit, vegetable and food items are on display. Then board a traditional cart pulled by oxen and enjoy a ride among rice fields. We then continue to the national park and walk along marked trails through the forest towards Haew Narok Waterfall. After lunch at a local restaurant near the waterfall, enjoy a one-hour trek through the jungle on the back of an elephant. Transfer back to your hotel in Bangkok.
