Koh Yao Noi Island is situated in the Bay of Phang Nga and even though the island is only a one-hour boat ride from the tourist hub of Pguket, you will feel as if you are a thousand miles away. There are no loud bars, no high-rise hotels, just a handful of bungalows overlooking the Andaman Sea. The traditional way of life on Koh Yao Noi Island has remained virtually unchanged. The main road snakes through rice paddies, fishing communities and secluded beaches. The best way to explore is on two wheels. Pick up at your hotel and van-transfer to the north of the island. After a biking brief of routes, pedal and safety instructions, we will bike for 6 km along the north-eastern part of Phuket from Thala Beach to Bang Rong pier. We will load our bicycles on the local ferry boat and shuttle over to Yao Noi Island and start biking in the northwestern part of the island, passing fishing villages and secluded beaches. Along the way, we will make several stops to take pictures and your guide will provide some interesting information on the life of the locals. You will also be challenged by biking over a hill - the stunning views of the surrounding islands will be rewarding though. After a simple Thai lunch at a local restaurant there will be some free time to relax on the beach and for swimming. Then cycle back to the pier and return to Phuket by local ferry. Transfer back to your hotel by van.
