Wat Suan Dok is just one of the many temples in Chiang Mai frequently visited by tourists. Built in the 14th century, the monastery has a rich history and interesting architecture. Nowadays visitors to Wat Suan Dok can do more than just learn about its long history and admire the temple's architecture: Called the "Monk chat" program, interested visitors can join an informal question-and-answer session with monks and learn more about Buddhism, meditation and the monks’ lives. The program is held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 17:00 to 19:00 hrs In English and offers both monks and tourists an opportunity to exchange ideas about cultural and Buddhism related aspects. Prior to participating in the Monk Chat program, we will introduce you to two seldom visited temples in town – Wat Duang Di and Wat Bupparam.
