Pick up at your hotel in Khao Lak, drive along upcountry roads to the Sea Turtle Breeding Center at Thai Muang. Here you can see turtles and many kinds of coral fish. Then we continue our tour to Phang Nga Town, where we will explore “Phung Chang Cave” by canoe and bamboo raft, to see amazing stalactites & stalagmites. The hill, which looks like an elephant body, gave its name to the cave. We visit an old traditional Thai house to get an insight of how people lived about 150 years ago. Time to enjoy a delicious lunch at a seafood restaurant in Pang Nga Bay, with an outstanding view over the mangroves. After lunch, we drive to Ao Luk and take a long-tail boat ride to a cave with 3000 year-old paintings. On the way back, we stop to visit some temples: first the Pagoda Temple Wat Bang Riang and then “Wat Tam Nakarat”, where one can admire big Buddha statues in limestone caves, that can be reached only by climbing steep staircases and ladders.
