The day starts with a drive to Takuapa, where you explore the amazing flora and fauna of the tropical mangrove forest during a longtail boat ride. Next is a visit to the old town of Takuapa with a history dating back for over 250 years. The town was founded by Chinese merchants and tin miners and the remnants of the old days are still visible. The small lanes with their old Sino-Portuguese style houses and the ancient citywall are a must-see. Lunch will be served in a local Thai restaurant in Takuapa. In the afternoon, visit the lesser-known Sri Phang Nga National Park, which shares border with the more famous Khao Sok National Park. The following 60 minute trek through untouched rain forest is led by a professional guide who will give you information about this fragile habitat and its inhabitants. A refreshing bath beneath an impressive waterfall will revitalize your body and soul. Back at the park entrance, your bus is waiting to bring you back to your hotel.
